Update:

Silent Hill f arrived this weekend to take us to a new setting, but one filled with the same fog and terror as before. The game is proving to be a huge success for Konami, and it looks like there will be more to come, although not in the world of video games, but in books.

For those who want to take the experience to the literary realm, it has been announced that a Silent Hill novel will be released on October 30, 2025, for now in Japan. The work will be published by Kadokawa and written by Japanese author Shirou Kuro.

What does the novelization of Silent Hill f offer?

Although there are no details about what this novelization will focus on, it is expected that there may be more internal monologues from Honako about Ebisugaoka, or that it may provide a little more information about her relationship with her friends Rinko and Sakuko, or even her friend Shu. In addition, it is unknown how the book will deal with the game’s multiple endings, whether it will make any of them canon, or whether it will present us with a completely new ending.

For his part, Shirou Kuro’s selection is spot on. The writer specializes in stories that focus on urban myths, folklore, and Cthulhu mythos. Some of his original works include Human Chairs: A Rampoesque Tale and Mikan Shoujo Lovecraft. He has also worked on anime and games, such as Yomawari: Lost in the Dark.

Konami has revealed that, according to its figures, Silent Hill f has enjoyed a much sweeter debut than Silent Hill 2 Remake: the game has sold over 1 million copies in a single weekend. To find out more about this title, don’t miss our review, where we write, “Silent Hill f strikes a balance between the classic and the innovative.
