Smite 2 Announced: First Details on Titan Forge's New MOBA for PC and Consoles
After a decade of history and more than 40 million players, Titan Forge confirms a sequel to the free-to-play game for PS5, Xbox X Series X|S and PC.
When we talk about the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) genre, the name Smite might be one of the first that comes to mind. After more than ten years and with no less than 40 million players, the most awaited moment for fans of Titan Forge’s title has arrived: Smite 2 is officially announced.
The game has been created with Unreal Engine 5.2+ and will be released on PC and consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S). Moreover, if we take a look at the initial plans of those responsible, it is clear that their goal is to follow in the footsteps of the first installment and offer a title capable of staying with us for many years.
Smite 2 Release Schedule
As with any game as a service, the studio will take its time to implement all of its plans. Here is the current roadmap.
Smite 2 Beta - During this time, the game will offer most of the major features and will feature over 25 Gods, including an all-new God. As the beta expands, the studio will add a new god each week.
Launch of Smite 2 - The game will officially launch as free-to-play (free with optional purchases), and Titan Forge’s idea is that we will have about 50 gods at our disposal from that moment on. It will be the starting point for a project that will last for many years.
What comes next? - Smite 2 will get a new god every two weeks for the first two years. The goal is to break the 100 Gods mark.
