SNK Announces Return of SVC CHAOS and New Fighters at EVO 2024
EVO USA 2024 was the stage of choice to unveil new fighters for City of the Wolf, King of Fighters XV, and the return of a 21-year-old crossover.21 años.
At The King of Fighter XV Finale at EVO USA 2024, SNK made several announcements related to its fighting games. It introduced new characters for the upcoming FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves and The King of Fighters XV and the surprise arrival of a remaster of one of the company’s crossover titles.
SNK VS. CAPCOM SVC CHAOS is back!
The crossover game between SNK and Capcom is back, 21 years after its original release. SVC CHAOS brings 36 characters from The King of Fighters and Street Fighter, plus many features and options that modernize it. In addition to classic SNK characters such as Kyo Kusanagi, Terry Bogard, and Mai Shiranui, and Capcom characters such as Ryu, Chun-Li and Demitri, the title also features other iconic characters from both brands.
Among the quality-of-life improvements, the rollback netcode for the online competitive mode stands out, as well as the tournament mode, with everything, and online waiting rooms to conduct remote tournaments with the greatest comfort for the user. In addition, a hitbox viewer has been added to better understand the collision zones of each character, as well as a gallery mode with 89 illustrations for fans of this crossover.
SNK VS. CAPCOM SVC CHAOS is coming to Steam today, July 20, while the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and GOG versions will launch on July 22.
New Fighters Announced for FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves and The King of Fighters XV
On the other hand, it was announced that the explosive and energetic Kevin Rian, SWAT and guardian of South Town, will be joining the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. You can check out the teaser trailer below:
Finally, and to close with a flourish, SNK made it official, although many users had predicted their arrival, Vice and Mature will be added to the roster of fighters of The King of Fighters XV as a special DLC in December of this year.
