Snoop Dogg’s new movie ‘The Underdoggs’ gets a new clip ahead of release
Snoop Dogg shines as the star of the upcoming ‘The Underdoggs’, a comedy about an ex-football star who has to train kids as part of his community service.
It’s been a long wait, but Snoop Dogg has finally got his very own starring role in a movie. Prime Video’s ‘The Underdoggs’ is finally releasing tomorrow, January 26, 2024, and to celebrate they’ve released a new clip through IGN.
The official synopsis of the movie reads: “Jaycen “Two Js” Jennings (Snoop Dogg) is a washed-up ex-professional football star who has hit rock bottom. When Jaycen is sentenced to community service coaching the Underdoggs, an unruly pee-wee football team in his hometown of Long Beach, California, he sees it as an opportunity to rebuild his public image and turn his life around. As Jaycen works to transform the foul-mouthed Underdoggs into top-notch champions, he reconnects with his past, including an old flame and few of his ex-teammates, and rediscovers his love of the game.”
‘The Underdoggs’ is an unexpected mixture of the mid 2000′s R-rated comedies like ‘This is the end’, ' Bad Santa’, and many more, with the classic kid sports movie where the protagonist must help a not-so-succesful team of misfits become a functional winning team. Except this time, it seems like we’re getting Snoop Dogg’s humor and style all over the place.
The movie stars Snoop as Jaycen “Two Js” Jennings, with Tika Sumpter, Mike Epps, and George Lopez as part of the main cast. Reviews have been praising the movie so far, but it won’t be long before you can get to enjoy it at home.
