Solar eclipse to be streamed live on Twitch thanks to partnership with NASA
The eclipse will not be total in all parts of the world. Therefore, NASA will broadcast the entire phenomenon on Twitch.
The whole world will soon be able to view another solar eclipse. On April 8 at 11:00 AM PT, it will take place in different ways depending on where you live. In America, it will be a coast-to-coast event, literally. It will begin at the Pacific Ocean and cross its edge to include countries such as Mexico, the United States, and Canada, passing through major cities such as Mazatlan, Durango, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Little Rock, Indianapolis, Buffalo, and Montreal. It will then cross the Atlantic Ocean to get very close to Ireland and the British Isles, which has led to an unexpected alliance. Twitch and NASA will be working together to livestream the entire eclipse.
Thanks to the broadcast platform, it will be possible to watch the eclipse as if we were in an area where it will be shown in its totality. Meanwhile, NASA has also collaborated with some video game companies to bring the eclipse to the virtual environment. Microsoft and Epic Games have been chosen by the students of the National Esports Association to create their versions in Minecraft and Fortnite, respectively.
When and what time the eclipse will be available on Twitch in the United States
The broadcast will be available on this channel between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM PT on April 8.
All the information about the April 8th eclipse in one place
As expected, NASA has also set up a page with all the information about the Cosmic Ballet, with lots of information, warnings and even a very interesting simulator about the times, places and percentage of totality that this phenomenon will have on its path. You can find all this information here.
