Song A Day Guy turns Coldplay kiss cam CEO scandal into a hidden object game

The internet’s most unexpected moment of 2025 is now a game, thanks to the prolific songwriter and his AI-coded satire.

Jonathan Mann’s Coldplay Canoodlers turns the viral kiss cam CEO scandal into a hidden object game. Here’s how it works and what it says about internet culture.
Update:

The Coldplay concert kiss cam incident, where two tech executives were caught in a compromising moment on the jumbotron, has officially entered meme history. Now, it’s also a video game. Created by Jonathan Mann, best known as the Song A Day Guy, Coldplay Canoodlers is a point-and-click hidden object game that lets players scan a pixelated stadium crowd to find the infamous couple.

What is Coldplay Canoodlers?

The game is a satirical riff on the July 15 Coldplay concert in Foxborough, MA, where frontman Chris Martin joked about a couple caught on camera: “Oh, look at these two... Oh, what?” The pair were later identified as the CEO and Chief People Officer of Astronomer, a $100M tech firm, both reportedly married to other people.

In Coldplay Canoodlers, players scroll across a digital crowd while zoomed-in faces appear on a simulated jumbotron. Once you spot the pixelated versions of the real-life couple, audio from the viral clip plays, capturing Martin’s reaction.

How was it made?

Mann used generative AI tools to “vibe code” the game, meaning it was assembled from fragments of internet culture and visual references. The result is a surreal blend of satire, voyeurism, and commentary on how viral moments are consumed and repackaged.

The game is part of a growing trend of “news games” that turn real-world events into interactive experiences. But Coldplay Canoodlers also highlights the darker side of virality, how surveillance, meme culture, and AI tools can amplify a moment into global spectacle. You can play it here.

Astronomer has since launched a formal investigation into the incident, stating that its leaders are expected to uphold high standards of conduct. Neither executive has commented publicly.
