Sony delays Kraven, Spider-Man, Karate Kid and sets release date for Venom 3
Venom 3 release date revealed though Sony has also confirmed the delay of several films announced in recent months.
The impasse caused by both the writers’ and actors’ strikes continues to take its toll on the release schedules of a multitude of shows and movies. The list of productions that have pushed back their release windows is practically endless, and while we recently told you that Stranger Things Season 5 won’t arrive until mid to late 2024 at the earliest, now it’s Sony that has decided to change all of its plans and push back several of its movies.
The main films affected are Kraven the Hunter, which was supposed to be released this year and has been pushed to next year, and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, whose delay will be especially painful for fans of the character, as we don’t even know when we’ll get to see it. But it’s not all bad news, as others like Venom 3 have finally been given a release date.
Venom 3 release date... and a lot of delays.
Below we list all of the delays, along with the movies that had no date and now have a confirmed release date.
- Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse – The movie was supposed to be released in March 2024, but has now been delayed indefinitely, so there is no word on when we will be able to see it.
- Gran Turismo – The movie of the legendary PlayStation driving video game saga was scheduled for August 11, 2023. After the date change, we will have to wait a few more days, until August 25th.
- Kraven the Hunter - One of the delays that will hurt fans waiting for the movie the most, as we will have to wait until August 2024 (the original release date was set for October 6 of the same year).
- Karate Kid - The new installment of the legendary saga will be released on December 13, 2024, a few months later than expected.
- Venom 3 - Although we didn’t know exactly when we would see it, we hoped we wouldn’t have to wait that long. Venom 3 already has a release date: July 12, 2024.
- They Listen - The promising horror movie was supposed to be released in August 2024, but after the indefinite delay, its release date remains up in the air, as does that of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
- Bad Boys 4 - The release date has been set for June 14, 2024.
- Untitled Ghostbusters: Afterlife Sequel - The sequel was supposed to be released this Christmas, but now we will have to wait until March 2024.
