Sony WH-1000XM6: wireless noise-cancelling headphones that want to maintain their hegemony
These headphones offer premium sound and a comfortable design.

With the launch of the WH-1000XM6 wireless noise-canceling headphones, Sony aims to maintain its leadership in listening experiences. This model sets a new standard for premium audio and builds on the legacy of the acclaimed 1000X series. With their renewed design and state-of-the-art technology, the headphones are aimed at music lovers, frequent travelers, demanding professionals, and fashion enthusiasts.
Next-Generation Noise Cancellation
The WH-1000XM6 features an advanced processor and adaptive microphone system that optimizes real-time noise cancellation. Compared to the previous model, the WH-1000XM5, this version is seven times faster. The new HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 simultaneously handles 12 microphones, resulting in more accurate cancellation and improved sound quality.
The “Adaptive NC Optimiser” automatically adjusts noise cancellation levels according to the environment and atmospheric pressure. The “Auto Ambient Sound” mode dynamically adapts to allow essential sounds, such as announcements or conversations, to pass through. You can customize all of these settings from the Sony Headphones Connect app.

Premium Sound
These headphones were developed in collaboration with mastering engineers from three renowned recording studios: Sterling Sound, Battery Studios, and Coast Mastering. The professionals involved include Randy Merrill (Ed Sheeran), Chris Gehringer (Rihanna and Lady Gaga), Mike Piacentini (Bob Dylan), and Michael Romanowski (Alicia Keys and Star Wars). Thanks to LDAC technology, the WH-1000XM6 supports high-resolution audio in a wireless format.
Sony | Headphones Connect app
The Sony | Headphones Connect app allows you to adjust the sound with a 10-band equalizer. It also integrates special modes, such as “Game EQ,” which was developed based on Sony’s experience with its INZONE line. This mode is ideal for first-person shooter (FPS) games. The app also includes 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema, which uses Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound technology to transform stereo sound into a cinema-like surround experience.

Clear Calls and Ergonomic Design
With six microphones and artificial intelligence technology that focuses on your voice, the WH-1000XM6 delivers clear calls, even in noisy environments. The headphones feature a wide vegan leather headband and soft ear pads for extended wear, as well as a sensitive touch panel with physical controls. The headphones are foldable and come in a compact case with a magnetic closure, making them ideal for travel. The headphones are available in three stylish colors: black, silver, and midnight blue.

Smarter and more intuitive
These headphones are now ready for the LE Audio standard, which provides low latency and Auracast streaming capabilities. The Multi-Point and Auto Switch functions ensure a seamless transition between devices, and the headphones can be worn while charging. Additionally, a quick three-minute charge provides up to three hours of playback.

Pre-sale in the U.S.
The WH-1000XM6 headphones will be available for pre-order exclusively on the official Sony Store website from May 15 through June 10, with product delivery beginning on May 20.
