‘South Park’ finally sets its return date after an unpredictable release schedule
Trey Parker and Matt Stone confirmed when Season 29 premieres, along with how often new episodes will be released.
Recent seasons of ‘South Park’ have been inconsistent, and keeping track of its release schedule has become a confusing task for fans. However, that uncertainty has finally been cleared up. Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the show’s creators, have officially confirmed when the irreverent animated series will return.
During their recent appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, Parker and Stone revealed that ‘South Park’ will return on Wednesday, September 16. The first episode of season 29 will premiere on Comedy Central at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT), while each episode will be available on Paramount+ the following day.
When will the episodes of Season 29 premiere?
Following the same format adopted since Season 27, ‘South Park’ will continue to air short seasons with episodes premiering every two weeks. For this new season, fans can look forward to episodes on the following dates:
- September 16
- September 30
- October 14
- October 28
- November 11
- November 25
Unlike seasons 27 and 28—which each had only five episodes—it appears that season 29 will include an additional episode, slightly extending its runtime.
