‘South Park’ under fire from the MAGA movement for the murder of Charlie Kirk: “Monsters”
Charlie Kirk himself mentioned that he loved the parody: “hilarious.”

The United States attempts to process the brutal murder of Charlie Kirk, who was shot in the neck while hosting one of his regular outdoor debates on a university campus in Utah. Kirk was a leading figure in the conservative MAGA movement, one of its most influential voices among young people due to his oratory skills and media presence, which made him a target for parody in the current season of South Park. Now, various voices are attacking Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s show, accusing them of being nothing short of accomplices to the murder.
Outcry on social media
In episode 2 of season 27, “Got a Nut,” Cartman adopted the political activist’s hairstyle, mannerisms, and debating style, with the aim of humiliating “woke liberals” with his rhetoric. Charlie Kirk himself mentioned that he loved the parody, calling it “hilarious” and a “badge of honor.” But amid the pain and outrage over his loss, voices within the conservative movement are clamoring against the series, calling it responsible for putting a target on his head.
The popular account Johnny Maga, with almost 250,000 followers, launched a direct accusation at the show, seen by more than 5 million accounts: “South Park attacking Charlie Kirk’s college campus events and mocking his Christian faith just a few weeks ago. Monsters.” However, the account has already deleted that tweet.
