“Speak up if you wanna see Perfect Dark survive”: Perfect Dark actress asks fans to help save the saga
Recent Xbox cutbacks have left the espionage saga in limbo, but there’s still hope.

Last week, Microsoft laid off nearly 9,000 people across all areas, including those related to video games. Some titles were cancelled, and there were even studios that had to close their doors. Among these was The Initiative, along with its Perfect Dark reboot. However, for people inside the project, there is still an option for the game to return.
Alix Wilton Regan, the actress in charge of voicing the iconic agent in the now-canceled project, has taken to social media to rally fans. In a strong message, Regan called on the community to “raise their voices” if they want to see the series “survive.” “A lot of people have been reaching out and floating this idea on my timeline, my phone and in my DMs, so I’m just gonna say it... #PerfectDark #PerfectPickUp speak up if you wanna see Perfect Dark survive”

The failed return of Perfect Dark
As much as we’d like to see the game completed, the chances of the project being picked up again as-is seem slim. However, Reagan’s plan is not just to show his affection for the brand but for one of those miracles we’ve had in recent years to happen. A clear example was the case of Tango Gameworks, the studio behind the acclaimed Hi-Fi Rush, which was closed by Microsoft and later revived by Krafton.
The plan to revive the Perfect Dark franchise sounded amazing and showed a lot about the intentions Xbox had with The Initiative, a studio that was made up of many veterans from big studios like Santa Monica Studios. However, between the recent buyouts and restructurings, as well as the constant administrative failures within Xbox’s new studios, the result may no longer be seen.
