‘Spider-Man 4’: Marvel Studios has chosen the director of the live-action adaptation of ‘Naruto’ for the project
Marvel Studios is now in advanced talks with Destin Daniel Cretton, for the director in charge of the ‘Naruto’ live-action adaptation to come back to the MCU with Spider-Man.
‘Spider-Man 4′, the fourth installment of the MCU’s spider saga, seems to be beginning to take shape; so much so, that Marvel Studios is in advanced negotiations with director Destin Daniel Cretton, a filmmaker fully integrated into the studio’s lineup already thanks to his work in ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ and the ‘Wonder Man’ series, pending release on Disney+, in addition to the fact that he was the director chosen to take charge of the failed ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty’ after the Jonathan Majors dismissal from the role for his personal scandals. In addition, Destin Daniel Cretton is very current for being in charge of writing and directing the live-action movie based on the ‘Naruto’ manga and anime.
Destin Daniel Cretton would be the fourth director of ‘Spider-Man’ in the cinema
This was shared exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter, which ensured that Destin Daniel Cretton would be very close to taking charge of the fourth part of the series starring Tom Holland as part of the MCU, being the fourth filmmaker to direct the spider superhero in the cinema after Sam Raimi with the Tobey Maguire trilogy, Marc Webb with the saga of Andrew Garfield and Jon Watts with Tom Holland’s initial trilogy.
Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers will return to handle the script, while production will be carried out by Kevin Feige from Marvel Studios and Amy Pascal from Sony Pictures. At the moment there is no information about the plot, although there is speculation about a new multiversal story as part of the current Multiverse Saga, especially after the success of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ at the box office.
According to what they point out from said medium, both Marvel and Sony intend to start filming ‘Spider-Man 4′ at the beginning of 2025, with a release scheduled for dates close to the next ‘Avengers’. Tom Holland has been negotiating his return as Peter Parker for a long time, waiting for a “proper story” that motivates him.
