‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ reveals its runtime: the longest Spidey movie ever

The total runtime of the upcoming Marvel Studios and Sony film has been leaked, and fans are reacting with surprise.

Update:

With every new update on ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ the upcoming Marvel Studios and Sony film starring Tom Holland, anticipation continues to soar. And for good reason: the current Spidey has set records with every single one of his appearances in the MCU—the best opening weekend in U.S. history for an MCU film and the highest-grossing superhero trilogy of all time are just a couple of them. Now, all signs point to Tom Holland having broken yet another record with his new film: the longest-running Spider-Man movie in history.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’: 2 hours and 30 minutes

AMC Theaters, one of North America’s largest cinema chains, has revealed that the upcoming Marvel Studios film will run for 2 hours and 30 minutes, news that has caused quite a stir on social media. This information also confirms previous leaks regarding the total runtime of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ such as those from Shaw Theatres in Singapore and Cineworld in London, which indicated a runtime of 150 minutes.

Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed this information, but the fact that three major movie theater chains have all reported the same runtime through completely independent sources is highly revealing. If this runtime is confirmed, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will not only be the longest Spider-Man movie to date, but also the longest in the MCU since ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ and its 2 hours and 41 minutes. Furthermore, it will be the fourth-longest film in the entire MCU, trailing only ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (3h 1m), ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ (2h 41m), and ‘Eternals’ (2h 36m).

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ takes place four years after the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ and Peter Parker is living completely alone, cut off from his loved ones due to Doctor Strange’s spell; no one remembers him. However, his life as Spider-Man is about to change forever with the onset of a strange new wave of crime and an unexpected mutation that is beginning to alter his physical condition.
