Star Wars: All confirmed movies and shows after 'The Acolyte' cancellation

Hard blow for ‘Star Wars’. With ‘The Acolyte’ Lucasfilm wanted to bring the era of the High Republic to the masses, but the reality was quite different. The first live-action series set in this era did not live up to expectations and will not be continued. Although the company has not officially announced it, leaks suggest that the second season has been canceled. The disappearance of the merchandising in the Disney Store only adds insult to injury, but the end of this series does not mean that the saga will disappear. In fact, the company founded by George Lucas has many projects in the works.

The most tangible is Skeleton Crew. It is an adventure series in the style of ‘The Goonies’ in which some kids have to find their way home. In between, all kinds of discoveries, dangers and wonders. The other tangible project is ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’, which has already started shooting. The production of the fourth season was interrupted by the Hollywood strikes, so in the end it was decided to move the project to another format, that of a theatrical movie.

Of all these projects, some may never see the light of day. For example, the ‘Lando’ series has been made into a movie, but the latest information is not very flattering regarding its future. The same goes for Rian Johnson’s trilogy, which has been in limbo since it was announced.
