Star Wars: Anakin and Padmé were on the verge of breaking up... and yes, there was a third person involved

Clovis tries to flirt with the senator and Amidala’s secret husband is not happy at all.

Update:

At the end of’ Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones,’ Anakin Skywalker secretly marries Padmé Amidala. It is a forbidden relationship, both for the Jedi and the senator. They spend little time together, as duty prevents them from doing so, except when they work side by side on official missions. Unfortunately, the relationship shows signs of toxicity, especially as the story approaches Revenge of the Sith.

In the series ‘The Clone Wars,’ we meet Rush Clovis, a politician who had a brief romance with Padmé in the past. As expected, Anakin discovers this and begins to feel jealous. During that mission, the couple discovers that Clovis has betrayed the Galactic Republic. In fact, the Trade Federation tries to poison Padmé. Horrified, Clovis tries to help her, but his crimes are uncovered.

Clovis tries to kiss Padmé and Anakin flies into a rage

Some time later, in season six, Clovis returns to Coruscant and an incident occurs. Obi-Wan Kenobi warns his apprentice that his judgment is clouded by his feelings toward Clovis, although his suspicions are confirmed shortly thereafter. At a moment of maximum tension in the marriage, the politician shares a meal with Padmé and asks her about her relationship with Anakin Skywalker, although the senator denies everything. He then tries to kiss her.

Anakin bursts in and uses the Force to choke Clovis. He swings his lightsaber violently, but the politician challenges him to a duel “without Jedi tricks.” After fighting, Captain Typho enters the room and Padmé’s suitor says that they have been attacked and that Skywalker has saved them.
