‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ gets a new trailer, with a lost gang, a galactic mystery, and more
The next Star Wars spin-off series, Skeleton Crew, is almost ready for release, and Lucasfilm has just released our best look yet at what to expect through a new trailer.
With the end of 2024 already on the horizon, and releases slowing down for a final push during the holidays, fans of Star Wars have something to get excited about: Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is almost ready for its premiere, and to remind us of it they’ve just released a new trailer giving us a great look at a side of the galaxy far, far away that we’ve never seen before.
Conceived as a kind of ‘Stranger Things’, ‘E.T.’ or ‘The Goonies’ in space, the new series created by Jon Watts —director and screenwriter of Spider-Man Homecoming — and Christopher Ford, will chronicle the adventures of a group of children adrift in the galaxy far, far away. As planned, the D23 fan event served to show the first official trailer, which can be seen on these lines.
Skeleton Crew is set to release with a two-episode premiere on December 3, 2024, exclusively on Disney Plus.
‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ reveals release date
The filming of the next ‘Star Wars’ movie has already begun: Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have revealed that ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ has been in production for several weeks, although we will not see it soon. As previously reported, the film will hit theaters in May 2026, specifically on the 22nd of that month. According to its creators, the film will introduce the characters of the series, but with the scale of a Skywalker saga movie.
