Star Wars Skeleton Crew

The Lucasfilm production machine is still well-oiled. After the finale of ‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’, eyes turn to the next series in the franchise, ‘Skeleton Crew’. The new Star Wars spin-off whose premiere was scheduled for 2023, but it got delayed for a whole year. The series stars Jude Law, who will play a former Jedi master, now converted into a professor. He will be accompanied by a group of children alongside who he will live adventures. It has been described as the ‘Stranger Things’ of ‘Star Wars’ and of course, the poster makes it clear that it follows in the wake of ‘The Goonies’ and other productions from the eighties.

The poster, which can be seen just below these lines, was revealed online as a Twitter/X users unceremoniously found it in a thrift store, of all places, as it seems to be slightly outdated promotional materials that leaked through the grasp of Disney and Lucasfilm. As you can see, the children appear highlighted from the front, while a droid appearing behind them all. However, you can also see the outline of the four children and what seems to be Jude Law’s character, which will help the little ones get out of all imaginable situations safely.

What is the future of the Mandoverse?

The fourth season of ‘The Mandalorian’ may not be underway, but the end of the Mandoverse is not yet on the horizon. Din Djarin and little Grogu will star in ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’, a fully fledged movie that will be released in theaters in 2026. In addition to ‘Skeleton Crew’ and the second season of ‘Ahsoka’, Dave Filoni will direct a film that will unite all these characters in a great ‘Avengers’ style event. Filoni himself has confirmed that Grand Admiral Thrawn is the villain of this era, which takes place just a few years after ‘Return of the Jedi’.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ still does not have a confirmed release date on Disney+, although everything indicates that it will be at the end of the year.
