‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu’ will see the return of Pedro Pascal under the helmet
Din Djarin will have Pedro Pascal under the armor, as one of the actors in charge confirms that Lucasfilm is making sure to work within the star’s schedule.
Brendan Wayne has confirmed the return of Pedro Pascal in ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’, the movie thatwill continue the plot of the series after the third season. Rumors about the actor’s goodbye have been circulating for some time, but Pascal himself said that he would continue playing the character as long as there were stories to tell. He also shared the announcement of the film on his Instagram stories, so it does not give the impression that his intention is to abandon ‘Star Wars’. In an interview with ScreenRant, Wayne —one of the actors who plays Din Djarin— has been more than assuring:
“Come on. Of course”, he has said. “Everyone’s so busy about it. It’s like, how about we just focus on the movie? It’s silly. Is he busy? Does he have a bunch of projects? Of course. Will they work around his schedule? Yes. It’s no different than Rosario [Dawson of Ahsoka] was.”
Din Djarin and his many faces
Pedro Pascal has been the voice of the Mandalorian since the first season, but as with characters like Darth Vader, under the armor there usually is another actor, so he was barely on set during the filming of the third season. By always wearing the helmet due to his religious beliefs, the character has only shown his face on two occasions, in which Pascal was obviously present in the flesh. Otherwise, Din Djarin’s voice is always recorded in the studio.
‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ will begin production this same 2024, although its premiere is not expected until 2026. It is not the only film that Lucasfilm has in preparation, although it is one of the most tangible. Just a few days ago, actress Daisy Ridley—Rey Skywalker in the sequels— revealed that the filming of the ‘New Jedi Order’ movie will start this year or the next. In addition, the director of ‘Wonder Woman’ has revealed that she has signed a new agreement to resume the development of her film, ‘Rogue Squadron’.
