Start your Monster Hunter Wilds hunt early: Capcom’s long-awaited game gets second beta
In a surprise move, Capcom has announced a second beta for the new installment in its star-studded saga.
Now that it’s January, video game enthusiasts are more excited than ever about all the titles coming out in the next few months. In addition to Death Stranding 2 and Avowed, many users are looking forward to the arrival of Monster Hunter Wilds. The new installment in Capcom’s saga has raised expectations with its first trailers, and now that its release is imminent, the community is burning with desire to try it out.
Luckily, Capcom held a closed beta that allowed many people to try their hand at hunting in the game for the first time. The first impressions were very positive, leaving fans wanting more. Faced with such a response, the Japanese company has announced a second beta, which will be available for PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The official dates and times, according to Pacific Time, are as follows
Capcom will give away a special item to beta participants
The Japanese developer announced the news in a special video featuring Ryozo Tsujimoto, producer of Monster Hunter Wilds, and also revealed that all users who participate in the beta will win a decorative amulet that can be unlocked in the full game (if they decide to purchase it). In addition, this second test will include a new type of monster to hunt that was not in the previous test: the Gypceros.
Finally, Tsujimoto reiterated that users should keep in mind that they will not be playing a final version of Monster Hunter Wilds, but one that may have weapon inconsistencies, performance glitches, and so on. More details on the exact date when this will happen will be announced later. The development team is already working on fixes to improve the experience after receiving a lot of feedback from the first beta, but these are not yet ready for implementation.
