Steam Summer Sale: 10 unmissable RPGs for under $20 each

Looking for your next long play? Here are 10 amazing role-playing games you’ll find for cheap in the Steam Summer Sale.

The Steam Summer Sale is in full swing, willing as always to leave our wallets shaking, and as usual, the role-playing genre is one of the biggest stars. We have already shared with you a series of titles discounted to a completely ridiculous price, so today we are going to talk about a few games with which you will have a lot of hours ahead of you, but we are also going to set a limit, in this case, $20 USD.

10 RPGs you simply shouldn’t skip

With Elden Ring still in our rearview mirror and Armored Core VI rushing straight at us, what better way to discover the FromSoftware formula than with the game that firmly placed the Japanese studio as a member of the elite in the industry: Dark Souls Remastered. It’s starting to show its age, but beyond that, you will find the unmistakable stamp of Miyazaki and company. There is no shortage of other essentials, and you can also consider classics - some more contemporary and others not so much-, such as Skyrim, The Witcher 3, and Fallout 4.

Lovers of the more traditional role-playing game, that of pencil and paper and a top-down view, will find two equally great games. Disco Elysium is one of the most complex at a narrative level that we can currently enjoy, while Divinity: Original Sin II serves as the perfect starter to discover the work of Larian Studios before the arrival of Baldur’s Gate III.

Those who prefer a different approach to RPGs also have four great representatives: Monster Hunter Rise, Final Fantasy XV, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and the most “unknown” of the three, Persona 4 Golden. This one has aged quite well -if we leave aside the design of its dungeons- and has the virtues that have placed the fifth installment as one of the best games ever: unforgettable characters and an absolutely fabulous soundtrack.
