Stellar Blade vs. other Sony releases on PC, how does it compare?

The arrival of Eve on Steam propels Shift Up’s game to the top positions on the platform.

Stellar Blade is here to stay and its recent arrival on PC has been received with open arms. And the number of concurrent players it has reached on Steam makes this Shift Up title one of the largest PlayStation releases on this platform.

According to the numbers registered on Steam, Stellar Blade is at the time of writing this in the 10th spot with the highest number of concurrent players, with a peak of 183,830 today. Ahead are free-to-play titles such as Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Apex Legends and Rainbow Six Siege X, or paid titles such as Dune: Awakening or Elden Ring Nightreign.

How Stellar Blade’s launch compares to Sony’s other PC titles

In context, and according to Steam DB numbers, Stellar Blade finds itself as the number 1 game within single players, beating titles like Ghost of Tsushima (77,154), God of War (73,529) or Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered (66,436) in its top player pillar. However, it is still a long way from first place overall. Helldivers 2, released in February 2024, managed to reach a whopping 458,709 concurrent players on Steam.

Stellar Blade arrived on PC this Wednesday and you can read our review of the game here. The title includes 25 new costumes, a new boss battle, as well as technical improvements such as support for DLSS and FSR, among others. Some of these extras will also be coming to the PS5 version as part of a free update.
