‘Stranger Things 5’ erased the face of two mystery characters in a cast photo: who are they?

Season 5 of Stranger Things will be the last one for the Netflix series, and the showrunners are taking extreme care to avoid spoilers, including blurring pictures.

The end of ‘Stranger Things’ is fast approaching – although it will not be before 2025 – and expectations are sky-high. There is a great desire to know what is happening in the fifth and final season, which will seemingly be like “eight movies” together. And if there was a lot of intrigue about the fate of some characters, now that has exploded, since a cast image of the filming has been shared, and among the dozens of people who appear in it, it turns out that there are two who have been hidden so that their identity is not known. Who could it be?

Who are those two people?

WARNING: Spoilers for ‘Stranger Things’ follow. If you haven’t seen the series yet but plan to catch up, it’s best not to continue reading.

As soon as people realized that there were two people hidden in the photo on purpose, fans were quick to speculate about it and there are now several theories. Two of them are very clear, while one of them is a little more unlikely:.

  • Max Mayfield | After the battle against the evil Vecna and the physical and emotional stress she was subjected to, poor Max was left in a coma and lost her sight. Her prognosis was not exactly good and fans want to know what happened—or will happen—to her. Could there be a way for her to recover?
  • Eddie Munson | Recently, Joseph Quinn, actor of the charismatic Eddie Munson, has dropped that he could return to the series. Eddie died in season four, so it’s unclear how he could return. Well, at least that’s what everyone thought had happened, because when asked if the character would return, Quinn answered with an enigmatic “I don’t know, who knows?”
  • Eight (Kali Prasad) | It seems the most unlikely theory since nothing has been heard from her since the second season and her appearance was very brief. Kali was a test subject (Eight) at Hawkins National Laboratory and developed telekinetic powers. She is a relevant character in Eleven’s past, but her whereabouts have never been known again.

The bets are on the table, but we will have to wait for a premiere that will take place, in the best of cases, in 2025.
