Stranger Things Finale: theater locations confirmed for New Year’s Eve screening

After nearly a decade as a major part of the Netflix catalog, Stranger Things is about to come to an end. With the first part already behind us, and waiting for Christmas to arrive so we can watch part 2, some fans are ready for the final episode. This is even more significant because it was only confirmed last month that it would be coming to theaters, fulfilling the Duffer brothers’ dream. After so many weeks of waiting, Netflix has finally revealed the details of this very special screening.

Where and when will the final episode of Stranger Things be screened?

Netflix has announced that it will release the final episode in theaters at 5:00 p.m. PT on December 31, the same time the final episode will be available on the streaming service. Along with this, the 500 theaters in the United States and Canada (up from the 350 originally announced) that will be showing the episode were revealed. The list of theaters can be found here. The episode will be screened on both December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026. It was also confirmed that the final episode of Stranger Things will be 2 hours and 5 minutes long.

A Cinematic Send-off for Hawkins

It was in mid-October that Netflix revealed its change of plans. Originally, the Duffer brothers had lamented the streaming service’s initial decision not to bring the finale of Stranger Things to the big screen, even though other productions had received this treatment.

• VOL 2 - Christmas, 5:00 pm PT
• THE FINALE - New Year’s Eve, 5:00 pm PT
