Stranger Things Season 5 will not cheat: It will not be Will Byers’ dream

Ross and Matt Duffer shoot down the wildest theory about the Netflix series finale.

Throughout the four seasons of the popular Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’, Will Byers has been living a nightmare. A story of science fiction and terror marked by his sudden disappearance, the search by his friends, the incursion of Eleven and the revelations of a parallel world to the town of Hawkins.

As you may know, every day we get closer to knowing the premiere date and seeing the first trailer for ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5, and as viewers have taken it upon themselves to share some really crazy theories about the end of the story, the creators of the series have decided to come out and shed some light on the matter.

It’s not a dream and it wasn’t done by a wizard

In a recent interview published by Metro, brothers Ross and Matt Duffer wanted to put to rest any theories that suggested everything was going to be resolved by some sort of wizard trick, and the show’s creators were very blunt about making sure it wouldn’t be, with Ross explaining, “We’ve known where we’ve been going for a while. And we feel comfortable with it; hopefully it satisfies everyone. We’ll see.”

In fact, if the idea that it could all be a dream has occurred to us, it is because the Duffers are comparing these theories as if it were “that’s all a dream,” and making it clear that they are going to “end the show” with a resolution. In other words, everything that Mike, Will, Eleven and the others have experienced has been completely real.

We remind you that ‘Stranger Things’ is available exclusively on Netflix. The show has four seasons to date, so if you haven’t seen the biggest bomb in the platform’s history, it’s the perfect time while we wait for the premiere date of Season 5.
