With Tales From ’85, the team wants to bring the license to animation for the first time, an unexplored field that will showcase new adventures without the usual characters. You won’t have to wait long to see it: it will arrive on April 23 in the Netflix catalog. The story of this spin-off is set between the story arcs of the second and third seasons of the original series. Few details have been revealed, except that it is set “during the winter of 1985.” The “original characters” will face “new monsters and paranormal mysteries.”

We see Eleven, Will, and the rest of the group once again setting foot in the “upside down” that has caused so much misfortune for the residents of Hawkins. The truth is that the visual style is quite good. It’s a visually appealing series that puts a new spin on the image we all have of Stranger Things as a franchise.

The success of the spin-off will likely determine the future of the franchise in this type of parallel storyline. Because the main storyline is more than finished: there is not even the slightest possibility of a sixth season.
