Streamer Kai Cenat claims to suffer from PTSD after his most recent streaming marathon
Update:

Kai Cenat has become known for many of the challenges he has met in order to entertain in his streams. From dying 900 times in Elden Ring, to burning the house down on the 4th of July. Among his challenges are Mafiathons, which he has done twice on Twitch, consisting of uninterrupted streams for 30 days, 24/7. And although this is a proof of what the second most subscribed creator in the world within Twitch with over 18 million followers on the platform, it is undoubtedly something that is already causing problems to his health.

Recently, the streamer was on the Hot Ones channel with Sean Evans and while eating hot wings in a very hot sauce, he claimed that these special streams have given him PTSD. “I think I understand how important it is to make a promise to my community,” said Cenat. “So if I’m saying I’m gonna be on for 30 days, 24/7, I think it’s very important to show. That’s my mentality, like I think it’s fine to push myself to the limits that I didn’t think I could do. 30 days, 24/7, but I’ll get on camera. It’s crazy. It’s a lot of pressure too, cause you want to make sure everybody that’s watching is enjoying the time as well.”

The consequences of 30-days streaming

For his part, Evans questioned the difficulty of planning this type of marathon, since planning a full 30 days of entertainment is no easy task. Cenat responded, “After the 30 days, every time when it’s completed, the next day I’ll wake up like trying to get out of PTSD of, like, people watching me,” said Cenat. “It’s like I go through a weird phase where I feel like I’m being watched, but when you get over that, you’ll be good.”

Possibly, having 30 days of content in a row is not such a good idea. But having the pressure to always do something that goes above and beyond is a pressure that, along with fame, and lack of sleep, is something that if you keep up, can further damage your health.
