‘Supergirl’: Does it have a post-credit scene?
Find out if Kara Zor-El’s latest adventure in cinema, ‘Supergirl’, has a post-credits scene.
‘Supergirl’ hits theaters this week, marking the next film in the new DC Extended Universe following the release of ‘Superman’ last year. The story of Kara Zor-El, played by Milly Alcock, takes us on a space adventure in which she must understand and discover what makes her a superhero (and you can read our review here). But the question on everyone’s mind before heading to the theater is: Does the movie have a post-credits scene? Well, in this article, we have the answer.
Is there a post-credits scene at the end of ‘Supergirl’?
The short answer is no. ‘Supergirl’ doesn’t have a post-credits scene. Unlike ‘Superman,’ which had a brief scene at the end that… didn’t really resolve or foreshadow anything—just a little joke about the outcome of everything that happened in the movie—Kara Zor-El’s adventure ends once the credits roll.
So now you know—whether you have to leave early, need to use the bathroom urgently, or it’s just too late to get home... you can take a break without worrying about missing a preview or an important part of this universe.
What is ‘Supergirl’ about?
The film is inspired by the comic book miniseries Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, published between 2021 and 2022, created by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, in which Supergirl contemplates her existence until an alien girl asks for her help on a mission of revenge. The movie synopsis reads: “When an unexpected and ruthless enemy threatens, Kara Zor-El is forced, against her will, to team up with an unlikely companion. Together, they embark on an epic cosmic journey where revenge and justice are at stake – and where Kara must confront her origins to find her own path as a hero.”
