The famous actress of ‘The White Lotus’, ‘Madame Web’ or ‘Immaculate’ reveals how her family reacted to her more racy scenes.

Sydney Sweeney, the trendy actress who has appeared in such popular TV productions as ‘Euphoria’, ‘The White Lotus’ or ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’, and films such as ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, ‘The Voyeurs’, ‘Madame Web’ or ‘Immaculate’, has revealed her family’s controversial reaction to her sex scenes in ‘Euphoria’, HBO’s hit teen drama fiction, the series that made her famous and which has already been confirmed for a third season. “They turned off the TV,” the actress admitted when they saw her more racy scenes, albeit with nuance.

As the actress revealed in an interview with Sunday Sitdown (via the Los Angeles Times): “My mom knew because my mom visited set quite a few times, so she knew the story and I talked to her a lot about it. My dad didn’t. I didn’t prepare my dad. At all. How do you bring up a conversation? When I talk to my dad it’s usually not about work,” the actress said at the time.
But the most embarrassing moment came when her closest relatives saw some of Sydney’s sex scenes: “My dad and my grandpa turned it off and walked out. But my grandma, she’s a big supporter of mine In fact, I bring her all over the world to my shoots and she plays an extra,” the actress continued. Of course, her brother did not hesitate to throw ‘Euphoria’-themed parties:
“It’s amazing. It’s become a part of the culture,” Sydney says of the show’s impact on society. “I remember my brother, he was a freshman or sophomore in college, and they were throwing Euphoria-themed parties,” the popular actress adds. As for her fictional character, Cassie, she assures that she is pleased with her crazy personality on the interpretive level:

“There’s so much [about] Cassie that I loved, especially in the beginning. I always tend to drift towards characters who might read one way on a page, and I like to find the layers to that character. She’s a beautiful, broken character. I love playing Cassie, especially last season because she was so crazy. As an actor, that’s just so much fun to kind of stretch your legs and play characters that go insane and do all these crazy choices,” she concludes.
A third season of ‘Euphoria’ has already been confirmed, although it does not yet have a premiere date. In addition to Sydney Sweeney, the main cast includes Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Angus Cloud, Storm Reid, Colman Domingo and Dominic Fike.
