Update:

The overwhelming success of GTA V is largely due to GTA Online. The game has continued to receive content since its release more than a decade ago. Over the years, it has continued to evolve and improve, but what will happen to GTA Online when GTA 6 is released? Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, has clarified the issue.

Everything seems to indicate that GTA Online has not said its last word. The Rockstar Games title will not be saying goodbye overnight. In fact, Zelnick’s words indicate that the game still has life ahead of it.

The support for GTA Online will continue

“At the same time, I have every reason to believe we’ll continue to support GTA Online,” Zelnick said at a Q&A session following the latest earnings call. “There’s a great community that loves it, that stays engaged, and again, in this quarter, Rockstar has shown that when you deliver great additional content, despite how long GTA Online has been at market, people show up.”
