All the latest news about Valentine’s Day 2026 in Fortnite: dates, free prizes, and much more

The 2026 Valentine’s Day event in Fortnite kicked off on Thursday, February 5, following the arrival of patch 39.40 for the game. From then until February 23, there will be themed content almost every day to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The roadmap is as follows:

  • February 5: Event begins.
  • February 7: Extra XP in Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.
  • February 10: Pink storm shield.
  • February 13: Nitemare Island returns.
  • February 14: Extra experience in Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.
  • February 15: Ice Storm event in Fortnite OG.
  • February 21: Extra experience in Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.
  • February 23: Return of The Seven to the store.

During the first 14 days of the event, we can log in to get up to nine free level ups and the new The Sweetest Shot Loading Screen, which commemorates these special dates. Even if we don’t want to play, just by logging into the game we can level up nine times, which will come in handy for earning a few rewards from the various Battle Passes.

As if that weren’t enough, when playing in Duos, Trios, or Squads in Battle Royale, Zero Build, Reload, OG, or Blitz, Valentine’s Day chocolates will appear on the stage that you can collect to unlock a free themed backpack. And last but not least, with the store update on February 6 at 7:00 PM, new KPop Demon Hunters outfits will arrive, based on the “Golden” look of the members of HUNTR/X, as well as Jinu from the Saja Boys. Their price is still to be confirmed.
