The ‘Angry Birds 3’ movie has a release date and a confirmed cast: Here’s everything you need to know
The animated franchise returns with new voices, production by Paramount Pictures, and a planned release date of 2027.

The Angry Birds saga is set to continue on the big screen, this time in the hands of Paramount Pictures. However, there is still a long way to go before Angry Birds 3 hits theaters, as it is scheduled to be released in 2027.
When will Angry Birds 3 be released?
According to Paramount Pictures, the film will be released on January 29, 2027, a date the studio had already reserved for the release of a family film. This will be the longest wait in the franchise’s history: the first movie was released in 2016, followed by the sequel in 2019.
Who is the cast of Angry Birds 3?
Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom and Danny McBride return to the animated movie to bring Red, Chuck, Silver and Bomb to life. Also joining the cast are Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Lily James, Marcello Hernandez, Walker Scobell, Sam Richardson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, James Austin Johnson and Psalm West in roles yet to be announced.
Director John Rice, who helmed the first installment, returns to direct this third installment with a script by Thurop Van Orman (The Angry Birds Movie 2). Toru Nakahara (Sonic the Hedgehog) serves as executive producer, while John Cohen (My Favorite Villain), Dan Chuba (The Mitchells vs. The Machines) and Carla Connor (The Willoughbys) serve as producers.
“We’re very excited to be partnering with Paramount Pictures and extremely proud of our incredible cast,” producer John Cohen said. “Not only do we have Jason, Josh, Rachel and Danny returning to voice their fantastic characters, but they’re surrounded by an all-star ensemble of comedic talent. These are some of the funniest people out there today, and we’re so thrilled to have them all on board.”
What will Angry Birds 3 be about?
As it is still in the early stages of production, there is no official synopsis of the story these birds will tell in their new cinematic adventure.
