The author of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ thinks this is the last ever Jump Festa the series will attend, teasing an end in 2024

‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ has become one of the biggest anime and manga in the world, but it might come to an end by the end of 2024. Here’s what the author had to say about it.

Jump Festa 2024 is showing big news around the best Shonen Jump licenses in the world of manga and anime. One of the publisher’s most successful series is ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, which is approaching the end of its second season in the anime, and as far as the manga is concerned, everything indicates that it won’t take us long to read its ending.

Gege Akutami, creator of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, revealed at Jump Festa 2024 with a handwritten comment, the following: “This will probably definitely be the last Jump Festa where Jujutsu Kaisen is still in serialization.” It’s a strong statement that invites fans to think that the manga will end by the end of 2024, putting an end to what has been one of the most successful series of the last five years, and that as of January 4 it will have 90 million copies in circulation. An enormous achievement, and a number that is set to continue growing thanks to the huge popularity of its animated adaptation.

‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is in its final stretch

There is still a long way to go before the anime comes to an end, with only two seasons so far there is time to continue enjoying the world of sorcery and curses that Gege Akutami has created and which continues to gain followers. The Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash video game kis also on the way with its release scheduled for February 2, 2024.

Will the manga end in 2024? It is a possibility, and its author already commented in February 2021 that the manga would “probably” end in two years. This statement was repeated at Jump Festa 2023, at the end of 2022. We will have to be attentive to everything that will happen throughout this next year, as although Akutami has not been completely right in the past regarding when his work will end, the reality is that the end of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is getting closer with every chapter.
