The battle of the popcorn buckets continues, as the new ‘Lord of the Rings’ film brings a warhammer
The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim is releasing soon in theaters, so of course it couldn’t stay out of the popcorn bucket fight. And it brings a warhammer with it.
Studios have found an important ally in popcorn buckets. They are increasingly used as promotional material to capture the attention of viewers and convince them to return to theaters. We already saw the one from Dune: Part 2 and its Sand Worm… maw. Then we got the perfectly functional Batman spotlight cube, and Wolverine for ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’. But what ‘The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim’ is preparing is off the scale.
One warhammer to rule them all!
The animated movie, which will be released in theaters on December 13, will allow you to get your own warhammer. Yes, just as you read it. The mallet part of the hammer is where the bucket full of popcorn is. The approximate size of the bucket is 27″, so you can grab it by the handle while beating your chest like one of the knights of Middle Earth.
Some characters from Peter Jackson’s original trilogy will return in this peculiar project such as Éowyn and Saruman the White. The film is directed by Kenji Kamiyama, a renowned filmmaker with an extensive career in the world of anime.. Their projects around the ‘Ghost in the Shell’ license are an excellent letter of introduction. “Explore the untold story of Helm’s Deep, hundreds of years before the mythical battle, and its founder, Helm Hammerhand, King of Rohan,” its brief description reveals. We will know more very soon.
