The best PlayStation Plus games to celebrate Halloween 2023

The PS Plus game library for PS5 and PS4 has plenty of horror titles you shouldn’t miss out on, and what better way to celebrate Halloween than to try some of the best ones?

We are thoroughly enjoying the week of Halloween 2023, but we felt like we were missing something. So today we have focused on proposing Horror games; just a while ago we recommended several on Xbox Game Pass and now it’s the turn of PS5 and PS4.

These are some of the best PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium horror games to have a scary time at Halloween 2023.

Resident Evil 7

The list starts off strong, since talking about Resident Evil 7 is talking about one of the most popular horror games in recent years. The seventh main installment of the series is not only a terrifying experience in the Baker house; It also marks a before and after for the immediate future of one of the best horror game sagas in history.

MediEvil

It approaches horror with comedy, but we couldn’t forget Sir Dan Fortesque. MediEvil is a beloved classic among PlayStation fans, it debuted on PSX and PS4 received a remake very faithful in playable terms, but revolutionary in terms of the graphics section.

Dead Island: Definitive Edition

If you like zombies, you can’t miss the opportunity to discover one of the most popular games that arrived in the PS3 generation. On PS Plus you have it in a remastered and complete version with all the DLC. Plus, you can play it with a friend thanks to the cooperative mode.

Observer: System Redux

The battle between religion and science has been featured in many horror works, but Bloober Team’s work is really interesting. A Polish detective investigates the disappearance of his own son and ends up in a building located in the city’s suburbs. A script that leaves its mark, a fantastic setting and a disturbing background like few others.

Outlast 2

The first Outlast is one of the most famous horror games of the 21st century and the second, although it did not achieve the same success, is very interesting and totally recommended for any fan of the genre. Once again, it puts us in control of a video camera with a night scope, although this time the story takes us to outdoor environments, with a rural theme and a story focused on religious rituals.

Until Dawn

Narrative adventures in which the player’s decisions determine the fate of their characters are in fashion, especially when it comes to mixing them with horror. And one of the first that rose to fame was Until Dawn for PS4. A cabin in the woods, several friends ready to spend a fantastic night and a guest they didn’t count on...

The Dark Pictures Anthology

From Until Dawn we jump to a new saga from its same creators. This time it is a horror anthology with several chapters without any relation to each other. And on PS Plus you have three of them available: Man of Medan, Little Hope and House of Ashes. Perfect if you like cinematic experiences.
