One Piece
The biggest flaw of ‘One Piece’ isn’t in the plot or the characters, it’s something that can be seen at first glance
The size differences between its characters are often completely absurd and ridiculous, creating truly hilarious situations.
‘One Piece’, the famous series starring Monkey D. Luffy, has always had a complicated idyll with the body proportions of its characters. And while other manga try to maintain a minimum of consistency between the sizes of their protagonists, the characters in Eiichiro Oda’s work can reach incredible heights, even though they are human. This is the case with Big Mom, who stands 29 feet tall despite being a normal human, which leads to some of the most bizarre situations.
‘One Piece’ and the size differences between the characters
Even other villains who seem like average people at first, like Doffy and his 9′10″, contrast with the 5’6″of main characters like Luffy or Zoro. The most extreme cases are real giants like Gerd, a giant pirate who was once a friend of Big Mom before destroying her village, who reaches an absolutely colossal height of 52′5″, or Sanjuan Wolf, the tallest human character in ‘One Piece,’ a colossus of no less than 590′.
Despite these absolutely inappropriate heights, these villains do not have to be stronger than Luffy, the protagonist of ‘One Piece’. And since Sanjuan Wolf was already defeated by a much smaller rival than Garp, Luffy could defeat the colossus without too much trouble, leading to very epic, but also ridiculous moments.
Anyway, the funny size comparisons between the characters are another peculiarity of ‘One Piece’ that can give us a false idea of how powerful a certain character can be. However, Luffy will always be there to reach new levels of power, defeating in one way or another anyone who stands in his way of finally hitting the One Piece.
