‘The Boys’ has announced ‘Vought Rising’, a prequel series set in the 1950s
Two extremely popular characters are getting their own show, detailing events from the past that have been hinted at during The Boys.
The universe of ‘The Boys’ continues to expand with a new spin-off. This time it is a prequel series called ‘Vought Rising’ which will star Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, the actors who played Soldier Boy and Stormfront in the original series. It’s a new bet by Amazon’s Prime Video in a product that is synonymous with success for the company.
What will ‘Vought Rising’ be about? The prequel series to ‘The Boys’ will be set in the 1950s and its plot will revolve around a mysterious murder that has to do with the origins of Vought and two characters well known to fans of the series: Soldier Boy and Stormfront.
‘The Boys’ and a constantly expanding universe
The prequel to ‘The Boys’ will show us the first exploits of Soldier Boy, one of the most powerful supers in the series and one of the most important figures in its universe. On the other hand, we will see an old woman known as Stormfront, of whom we were already able to learn about her terrible past, with this new show revealing in detail all the evil she caused.
This is a new spin-off that confirms the success of the universe created by Garth Ennis and which has received enormous success in its main television adaptation, as well as with ‘Gen V’. Now, with ‘Vought Rising’ we will travel to the past and the beginnings in which the society that ‘The Boys’ shows us started to take form, with the origin of the supes and a world that was going to change completely.
