‘The Boys’ showrunner talks about Season 5 and character deaths
The final season of ‘The Boys’ is coming to Prime Video, and no one character will be safe when the series returns.
‘The Boys’ is one of the most successful series of recent times. A production that shows us superheroes in a way that the viewer is not used to, and stands out for how raw and extreme it is when it comes to showing violence. Death is everywhere, and in its final season it is expected that there will be moments of enormous impact, as Eric Kripke, the showrunner behind the series, has revealed.
Eric Kripke was asked by the media TV Guide about one of the most characteristic points of ‘The Boys’: death. “Anyone who dies in season five will richly deserve it. We have a certain sense of like who lives and who dies, you know, we don’t have it all totally figured out. But you get to do the final season of the show, and you get to go in your own terms. Like, not everyone’s making it through!”
‘The Boys’, a huge success for Prime Video
One of the most successful productions on the Amazon platform has been ‘The Boys’. The television adaptation of Garth Ennis’ comic has managed to be a phenomenon from the first moment, and proof of this is the five seasons that make up the main series and its two spin-offs. One is ‘Gen V’, which is already waiting for its second season; and the other is ‘Vought Rising’, which will act as a prequel.
