Pokémon TCG Pocket has become the new phenomenon in video games. The new mobile version of the classic Trading Card Game has captured the hearts of millions thanks to its incredible illustrations and simple but fun mechanics. And just a few days ago, its first major expansion was released: Mythic Island. It introduced several new and exclusive cards that are not easy to get, with Mew being the star of the set.

At Sportskeeda, they took it upon themselves to make a selection of the 6 rare cards from the new Pokémon TCG Pocket Pack that every fan should get before it’s too late, as they may only be available for a limited time. For our part, we could not agree more with their picks, which we explain in detail below.

The 6 Rarest Cards in the Mythic Island Pack

  • Gyarados Ex (2 Stars): With its 180 HP and Raging Whirlpool attack, this card can wreak havoc in a game by dealing 140 damage. In exchange, it discards a random Energy from the Energy attached to all Pokémon (both your Pokémon and your opponent’s Pokémon).
  • Budding Expeditioner (2 Stars): This “premium” version of the original card allows you to return the former Mew that is in the Active Station to your hand.
  • Blue and Leaf (2 Stars): The improved versions of both Trainer cards look great. While Blue’s makes your opponent’s attacks deal -10 damage to your Pokémon, Leaf’s offers the ability to reduce your Active Pokémon’s Retreat Cost by 2.
  • Aerodactyl Ex (2 stars): When you play this beautiful card, which alludes to an ancient engraving, your opponent cannot play any Pokémon from their hand to evolve the Active Pokémon.
  • Celebi Ex (3 Stars): Undoubtedly one of the rarest cards in the Mythical Island deck. When used, 1 coin is flipped for each Energy attached to this Pokémon, and the attack deals 50 damage per side.
  • Mew Ex (2 Stars and Crown Rarity): Two of the most unusual cards you can find in the game right now, both of which allow you to select one of your opponent’s Active Pokémon’s attacks and use it for that attack.
