The cast of Stranger Things 5 reacts to the most surprising plot twist in volume 1

Things get ugly at the end of episode 4, but all is not lost.

Update:

One of the themes that Stranger Things revolves around is its protagonists’ search for identity. The first episodes of the final season delve deeper into these dynamics and focus on Will, a character who is crucial to the unfolding events, as he has a connection to Vecna and the Demogorgons. At the end of the fourth episode, something happens that changes everything... and this is how the cast reacted.

Surprised, with their mouths agape. Netflix has released a video showing Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Natalia Dyer, and company at a script reading. They are all surprised by the big twist in the plot: the scene that closes the first batch of episodes of Stranger Things 5.

Will overcomes his fears

Vecna bursts onto the scene like Darth Vader in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The monster flaunts his power and kills soldiers without hesitation. When he catches Will, he tells him that his mind is weak, that it was Will who gave him the key to hatching his plan. He then leaves, leaving the situation in the hands of several Demogorgons.

The situation is dire: the group of friends is about to perish at the hands of the evil creatures, but then Will appears, because it’s not true that he’s weak. He uses his bond with the monsters, rolls his eyes, and controls them to prevent them from killing his companions, his own mother.

“This was about Will’s journey in terms of finding out really who he was, and coming to terms with that. So we liked the idea of tying that into some of the more supernatural elements, that in order to become his most powerful self.”
