Dragon Ball
The child version of Goku in ‘Dragon Ball Daima’ reveals its official name and key anime detail
The rejuvenated characters of the new “Dragon Ball” anime have nothing to do with ‘Dragon Ball GT’ and emphasize its unique and original storyline.
The last trailer of ‘Dragon Ball Daima’ left us with an important nuance that is much more meaningful than it seems. So much so that the official name of the new version of Goku was confirmed in this anime, whose story is totally original and has yet to confirm how it fits into the official canon of the saga; if it is finally part of it. So we already know the name of this new young version of Goku and the rest of the main characters: Mini.
Explanation of the Mini Versions of ‘Dragon Ball Daima’
With the appearance of Goku and his family and friends as young versions of the same, the public referred to them as “Kid Goku” and the like. Now, and after the release of the latest trailer of the anime, we know that the young version of Goku is officially called Goku Mini; the same goes for the rest of the rejuvenated characters; or shrunken?}
This new designation is very important in the context of the new anime series, as the Z-Warriors and company are actually reduced in size and power instead of becoming boys and girls. This also explains why other characters such as Krillin or Piccolo are not shown as their younger versions, but as reduced versions of their current appearance. The transformation of Goten and Trunks into babies complicates this explanation a bit, though, so we will have to wait for the premiere of the anime to know all the answers and whether or not each character’s design is finally responding to the whims of the writers and artists.
Another important aspect of the mini versions of ‘Dragon Ball Daima’ is that they are completely different from the youthful appearance of Goku in ‘Dragon Ball GT’, popularly known as Kid Goku. Because of this, the mini versions of the ‘Dragon Ball Daima’ characters give a unique personality to the series, an anime series that is scheduled to premiere next October on a specific date to be announced.
