The Earth’s Mightiest Mutant, Storm, is breaking records with her own comic and Beyonce tributes
The Era of Krakoa is over, but mutants are still huge players in the Marvel Universe. And there isn’t a more powerful one than Storm herself.
The end of the era of Krakoa has left us with several mutant groups, but...where is Storm? The most powerful mutant in the world has not only joined another supergroup of Marvel, but she is starring in her own comic series that has been breaking numbers on comic book store shelves.
Tired of the extremely hierarchical structure of the X-Men, Ororo Munroe has decided to join The Avengers, where she has the possibility of showing greater decision-making power and is listened to more than in the mutant group. But she also establishes herself as one of the key characters in the future of this new era, ‘From the Ashes’, which emerged after Krakoa, and her new series proves it.
Currently, the series just released its issue #4, and the alternative cover of this new release is a clear tribute to the latest album by Beyonce, titled ‘Cowboy Carter’. In this issue, Storm’s actions are shaking the Marvel Universe to the point of attracting the attention of another of the characters that will mark the future of the House of Ideas, both in comics and in cinema: Dr. Doom.
Where and how to follow the X-Men in the comics?
After the end of the era of Krakoa, there are a lot of headlines related to mutants: on the one hand, ‘X-Men’ presents us with the group led by Cyclops, while this week it hits bookstores ‘The Uncanny X-Men’, led by Rogue. As if that were not enough, in the coming weeks we’ll get a swathe of new comic lines focusing on some of the biggest mutants in the Marvel Universe.
