The Epic Games Store is continuing its tradition of giving away games, and during the Christmas season it’s going all out: one free game every day from today and until January 4, 2024. Every 24 hours, a new title will take the stage, available for all Epic users to claim forever at no cost whatsoever. We’ve had epic multiplayer shooters, AAA ghost-hunting action games, beloved indie racers, open worlds, and much more. And today we’re getting yet another title.
Today’s title is ‘A Plague Tale: Innocence’. Follow the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history. Hunted by Inquisition soldiers and surrounded by unstoppable swarms of rats, they will come to know and trust each other.

1348. The plague ravages the Kingdom of France. Amicia and her younger brother Hugo are pursued by the Inquisition through villages devastated by the disease. On their way, they will have to join forces with other children, and evade swarms of rats using fire and light. Aided only by the link that binds their fates together, they will face untold horrors in their struggle to survive. As their adventure begins… the time of innocence ends.
Rats swarm in uninterrupted waves throughout the territory of France. In the plague-ridden villages, countryside and battlefields, this uncontrollable and voracious mass advances relentlessly devouring everything in their path. Only the light of the flame seems to slow down this warming menace.
Don’t forget that you only get 24 hours to claim each of the free games being given away at the Epic Games Store, if you missed one, you won’t get a chance to claim it unless the store chooses to give it away again in the future. The rotation takes place every day at 8:00 AM PT, and as we mentioned before, we’ll be getting new titles all the way to January 4, 2024.
