The first look at season 4 of ‘Ted Lasso’ confirms that the protagonist will face his biggest challenge yet

Fans of Ted Lasso won’t have to wait much longer to find out what’s next for television’s best coach. Apple TV+ has finally announced that the fourth season of its hit comedy will premiere next summer, and to accompany the news, it has shared some first images that are already generating a lot of buzz. To the surprise of fans, good old Ted will have to face an even more ambitious challenge than before: taking charge of a women’s soccer team in the English second division.

One of the images shows the protagonist, played by Jason Sudeikis, returning to Richmond. In this new adventure, he will be accompanied by the good-natured Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) and a new assistant played by actress Tanya Reynolds, known for her role as Lily in Sex Education. Another photo introduces Grant Feely as the new actor who will play Henry, Ted’s son, in a scene where the two are eating at the Crown & Anchor, a landmark London pub, an iconic location that reinforces the idea that the series could be returning to its roots.

Finally, another image confirms the return of Rebecca Wilton, a character played by renowned actress Hannah Waddingham (Game of Thrones). It appears to depict the moment when Ted leaves Kansas to return to England, where he will take charge of a new club. In fact, it has already been confirmed that the first episodes of season 4 will take place in this US city. Otherwise, the series’ technical staff remains virtually unchanged. Sudeikis returns as the lead actor and executive producer, accompanied by Brendan Hunt, Brett Goldstein, and Bill Lawrence. Will Ted Lasso manage to reinvent itself and captivate audiences once again? We’ll find out in a few months.
