The first PS Plus Essential game of March 2024 has been revealed by a leak

March is fast approaching, and there are already leaks starting to appear about what to expect from services like PS Plus. Here’s one of them.

As has become usual in the past few years, Billbil-kun has unveiled another leak about Sony’s PlayStation Plus subscription, this time revealing one of the games coming to the PS Plus Essential tier in March 2024: Sifu, the amazing action-brawler game from Sloclap.

With only a few days of February left, we’re all waiting on an official announcement by PlayStation. The common method so far has been that they wait until the very final day of the month before they reveal their upcoming offering of titles for every subscriber of their online service. For example, the games of February were revealed on January 31, and became available to claim and download just a few days later.

Sifu, as good as the best kung-fu films get

Quite a different experience from what the industry had been accustomed to up to its release, Sifu is an action game in which you control a young man or woman looking for revenge against a group of Kung-Fu masters that have wronged them. As such, you must fight your way through slums, gang hideouts, clubs, and many other environments as you look for your enemies, and take the fight directly to them.

What’s great about Sifu, however (apart from its magnificent hand-to-hand combat system), is that should you fall in battle, instead of simply retrying your character gets a year or two older, as it’s implied that they train to become stronger and eventually return to try again. Everytime you do so your character gets stronger, but as time does it eventually makes you grow more and more fragile. Will you be able to get your revenge before age itself takes you?

Sifu is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
