Spider-Man looks set to be a classic in the film series.
Little by little, we are learning more about ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day.’ The fourth chapter of Tom Holland’s arc will take us to a perfect prelude to what will happen in ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ Its release date is set for July 30, 2026, which means we have a year to wait to see the hero’s new suit in action, the first teaser of which we have already seen.

As we can see in the tweet below this paragraph, the first details of Spider-Man’s suit feature metallic grooves that simulate spider webs. Fans are already getting excited about the striking similarities to Spider-Man’s most beloved suit in cinema: Sam Raimi’s suit from the films starring Tobey Maguire.
There are certainly reasons to believe that it is similar. None of the three suits Holland has worn in his films has those grooves. In fact, the film’s official X account directly points out that “Something brand new is coming…” so a brand-new day... brand new suit.
References to Sam Raimi’s work have been a trend in recent films. You only have to watch the latest installment, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ to see that Maguire’s Spider-Man was a major influence. Bringing them together as a trio with Andrew Garfield, the other recent Spider-Man, was a dose of fan service that is remembered as one of the best the Marvel Cinematic Universe has offered us.
