The first trailer for Call of Duty Warzone’s Season 4 is an homage to fans of the battle royale

Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 have revealed the first content that will arrive as part of season 4. The content framework is full of winks to fans and veterans of the series, especially regarding new weaponry. Its first trailer, which you can find below, already previews some of what will arrive starting May 29 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Among the weapons included are two of the most loved by the game’s community. The Kar98k appears in the battle pass, the marksman rifle that gave players so much joy in the original version of Warzone and that now arrives for the sequel. It will be available as part of the battle pass along with the Superi 46, a new submachine gun. During seasonal reinforcements, the Reclaimer 18 shotgun will do the same, a reinterpretation of the SPAS-12 from the original Modern Warfare 2.

None of the maps currently available will receive changes to their points of interest, but there will be a latent threat in the Popov nuclear plant, in Urzikstan. As the season progresses, what the players will face will be revealed, but everything seems to point to some chemical weapon that will be key in the narrative throughout the season.

Again, we will see eight Aftermarket parts to unlock during the 8 weeks that the season lasts. There are some surprising ones. The Lachmann Shroud submachine gun receives a change in firing mechanics that will allow it to be used in automatic mode, instead of in bursts. The M4 assault rifle from Modern Warfare 2 (2022) changes the internal chamber to fire .50 caliber ammunition. Its fire rate is very slow, but it compensates for this with the need to take fewer bullets per kill.
