The first trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu is a dream come true for fans
One of the big releases of 2026 will continue the story of the popular television series.

‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu’ is one of the most eagerly awaited productions in the saga created by George Lucas in recent times. Scheduled for release on May 22, 2026, the film will continue the story of the Disney+ series and has already released its first trailer.
The film focuses on the solitary bounty hunter, the Mandalorian, who encounters the child Grogu, who uses the Force during a specific job. A mysterious bond between the two leads them to embark on a journey regardless of the dangers they face together. A father-son relationship that continues in the form of a film with a new adventure and dangers that lurk around every corner.

It is expected to be a box office success and very profitable for Disney
‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ is the cheapest Star Wars film of the Disney era, with a budget lower than that of the latest major releases in the saga. By way of comparison, Episode VII cost $245 million, Episode VIII cost $317 million, and Episode IX cost $275 million. These figures are much higher than the $166.4 million that ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ cost.
As if that weren’t enough, it’s also below ‘Rogue One’, which cost $200 million, and ‘Han Solo,’ which reached $275 million. The figure for the upcoming Star Wars movie is a good sign of the potential success that lies ahead.
