The former president of PlayStation Studios surprises everyone by revealing the next candidate for GOTY 2025

Shuhei Yoshida is one of the most iconic figures in the video game industry. He was part of Sony for 31 years until he left PlayStation in 2024. He is known for his role in the video game division of the Japanese company, as well as the indie division, so his words are always something to keep in mind. Now he has taken it upon himself to raise the anticipation for a title that will be released on April 10th: Blue Prince.

“This is going to be one of GOTY 2025 candidates,” says Shuhei Yoshida on his X account, formerly Twitter. A statement of intent that few could have expected. What is the game about? Blue Prince is a puzzle adventure game set in Mount Holly, where every sunrise reveals a new mystery. Blue Prince will be available in the PlayStation Plus catalog from day one.

The title mixes adventure, strategy and puzzles with a graphic aspect in the purest cel shading style that will remind us of some classic first-person shooters.

Blue Prince is a game developed by Dogubomb, an American studio located in the heart of Hollywood, California. It is the first title they have developed, so expectations are high, as evidenced by the comments of an industry legend like Shuhei Yoshida.
