The home of Spider-Man and X-Men creator, Stan Lee, is on sale with a huge surprise inside

Stan Lee’s home has recently been listed for sale, and it comes with three extremely valuable treasures signed by the comic book legend.

If we had to choose only one superhero comic personality, 99% of fans would have to go for Stan Lee, editor, writer, and creative for Marvel and a true legend of the medium. Lee passed away in 2018, and according to the portal Home of Celebs, his former home in Los Angeles is now for sale at the asking price of $8.8 million.

It is a 5,285 square foot house (about 490 square meters) with three bedrooms and seven bathrooms, but it also has other extras such as a home cinema room, a sauna, a spa, a swimming pool, and of course, what used to be his office. However, despite all the luxuries that this home has, inside there is a valuable surprise which, if put up for auction separately, would surely reach a price of at least 6 figures.

“Upon entering the property, you will be greeted in the foyer by three life-size recreations of Spider-Man’s iconic poses. Each statue is signed by Stan Lee, adding a layer of authenticity and value for collectors,” says the description of these figures. “These unique pieces are available to purchase individually or included in the sale price of the home, offering buyers a rare opportunity to own a piece of Marvel history while adding prestige to the entryway.”

Stan Lee, a comic legend

Stan Lee is one of those personalities that needs no introduction, but just in case, we talk about the co-creator (along with others like Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, etc...) of characters like Spider-Man, the X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Hulk, Iron Man, Daredevil, and a very long etcetera. Its importance made his presence as a cameo in Marvel films was an unavoidable tradition even after his death, having been included in productions after his death thanks to technology.

Lee is also known for having been able to “cheat” the Comic Code, a strict rule of censorship by which it was prohibited to depict excessive violence, sex, or drug consumption in comics, in addition to making it clear that the heroes always had to emerge victorious from the comics, not being able to face supernatural beings such as vampires, werewolves, dead living creatures, etc... The writer created a story in which Spider-Man fought against the Green Goblin while trying to save the life of a man under the influence of drugs, launching that comic without the seal of the censoring body and challenging it, achieving this way change the rules from then on.
