‘The Last of Us Complete’ compilation arrives as a surprise and will be available as a collector’s edition in the coming months
A chance to have all of ‘The Last of Us’ in one place.
In a complete surprise, Sony announced that The Last of Us Complete, a compilation of Part I and Part II of The Last of Us, is now available, just days before the Season 2 premiere of the HBO TV adaptation.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog studio head Neil Druckmann, introduced the compilation, which seeks “to celebrate our studio, the series, and you, the fans, by making it easier than ever to experience this story.” This PlayStation 5 compilation brings together The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II Remastered in a single package.

The Last of Us Complete will also receive a collector’s edition
For fans of the series, it was also revealed that a special physical edition, The Last of Us Complete: Collector’s Edition, is now available for pre-order at direct.playstation.com and will be available on July 10th.
This Collector’s Edition will come in a Collector’s Box that “captures the humanity at the heart of our story through beautiful, intricate design.” The game will include a steelbook case containing The Last of Us Part I and Part II Remastered discs. In addition, the game will include a set of lithographs from a group of “hand-picked artists who we felt could offer beautiful takes on these characters.” Finally, the Collector’s Edition will include a copy of The Last of Us: American Dreams Comics #1-#4 with new cover art and a letter of thanks from Neil Druckmann.

A definite goodbye to The Last of Us 3?
Although the idea of a third installment in the franchise has been toyed with in recent years, Neil Druckmann himself has been ambivalent about its future. And even though his last answer on the matter was a “don’t bet on there being more of ‘Last of Us.’ This could be it.” With the title of this collection including the word “Complete,” it feels like the definitive version that brings the story Naughty Dog has created to a close.
